Today's Scripture
"Choose today whom you will serve. But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD." Joshua 24:15 NLT
Thoughts for Today
The world says: If it feels good, do it!
God says: Put everything to the test. Accept what is good and don't have anything to do with evil.
The world says: Make your own rules of right and wrong.
God says: Do what I tell you; live the way I tell you.
The world says: Look out for yourselfno one else will.
God says: I sent my Son, Jesus, to die for your sins so that you can have eternity with me. Follow him during your time on earth. Spend eternity in heaven.
Consider this
We all have a choice. We can choose who to believe. We can choose how to live. Be encouraged to choose Jesus. To ask his forgiveness. To trust him in every area of your life. You will still have problems and challenges during your life on this earth, but you won't have to face them alone. Jesus will give you the strength to make right choices. He will love you no matter what. He will never leave you.
Life on earth is short. Eternity is forever. Choose Jesus now and spend eternity with him. Choose him as Lord and Savior. Choose his way in everything you do.
Prayer
Father, thank you for your love. Thank you for Jesus and the forgiveness that I have through him. Thank you for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Help me to choose you and your ways in everything I do. In Jesus' name

Knowing God My Father: Applying the Names of God to My Personal Life by Jimmy Ray Lee, D.Min. This curriculum is designed to help people strengthen their relationship with their heavenly Father by applying His names to their personal life. Along with helping Christians know God better, it can serve as an evangelistic tool by giving a true picture of God to people who may have a distorted view of Him because of an absent or abusive earthly father who did not or does not provide for them. This group can also help men who want to be better fathers. Note: This curriculum was written especially for small groups, and we encourage people to use it that way. However, it can also be used effectively as a personal study for individuals or couples.
