Today's Scripture
"All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ." Ephesians 1:3 NLT

Thoughts for Today
We have been looking at guidelines of stewardship and financial pitfalls that can engulf us. We will end the week by focusing on God's blessings.

He has given us so much. The greatest gift of all is forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ. A gift we could never earn. A gift of his love.

We all have more blessings than we can count. Material blessings. Loved ones. Talents and abilities. God's promise never to leave us. His promise to Fwork all things together for our good. His unconditional love. We could never repay him, but we can offer him all we have, including our devotion and our desire to do things his way. And we can rest in the knowledge that his way is the best way.

Consider this …
God promises to bless those who sow generously. Give to God. Give to others. And give cheerfully. Give finances, time, talent. Share his love by looking for opportunities to encourage and bless others.

This is a wonderful scripture to end the week.

Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NLT

Prayer
Father, I know I can never repay you for all you do for me. But help me live a life of thanksgiving. A life that honors you. Teach me to give more generously . . . and more cheerfully. Thank you for your unlimited blessings. In Jesus' name . . .

These thoughts were drawn from …

Committed Couples: God's Plan for Marriage & the Family
by Dr. Jimmy Ray Lee. Whether in a private or group setting, couples will be encouraged spiritually and romantically as they research biblical principles that affirm their vows. This book can help every married couple grow spiritually and emotionally in their relationship. It is also a great help for engaged-to-be-married couples.

We hope these devotions are a blessing to you and to others in your life. We are happy to provide them for you at no cost, but thought you might want to consider a donation to help our ministry with the expense involved. You can safely donate through our website. Thank you!
